Jeremiah Captain
The story of Jeremiah’s humble beginnings began in Oakland, CA in 1983, where he was happily welcomed by his father & mother, Jeremiah & Fannie Captain. They named him Jeremiah, after his father, because he was truly a Godsend and his parents recognized the greatness in him at a very young age. At 15 years old, his desire to give back was quickly understood by his mother when he had the dream of playing in the NFL and buying her a house. Little did Mrs. Captain know that Jeremiah’s goals would soon be achieved and more. Due to his success, has been able to take his mother on exotic trips around the world with the purchase of the house of her dreams coming soon.
There was a brief moment during Jeremiah’s young adult life where the visions for thriving became tougher due to the immediate need for resources. This caused him to take the wrong road, which resulted in him developing a troubled past. Remembering the words of his high school mentor, Bruce Laing, who told him he would make it out of the inner city, Jeremiah did not let that story be his end story he worked hard to overcome that journey and be the man, father, son, & brother he was destined to be. Jeremiah shares this message of triumph to everyone he mentors as overcoming has been his true victory. As a proud father of two beautiful daughters, Tamiah and Jayla Captain, he instills the story of how his mess became his message and his test became his testimony.
Today, Jeremiah has spoken to thousands of people across the world, and continues to practice his H.O.P.E (Help One Person Everyday) method daily. He loves people and even at the tall stature of 5’9”, he believes that he will never stop growing. His commitment to serve is one of pure intensity and authenticity.
Jeremiah attended Benedictine University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology, henceforth, he is trained professionally when it comes to guiding people from where they are to their better self. Jeremiah’s legacy is faith and perseverance and that will stand as a beacon of light to all.
