John helps students and educators learn how to become servant leaders. His mission is to spread the word of the power of servant leadership while teaching others how to build influence in the lives of those around them. John has committed his entire time as a student, and now his professional career, toward helping people and schools transform themselves into places that truly care about the well-being of others.  As a student at Wenatchee High School, John began to learn first-hand that even a single person being intentional with their actions can create a tidal wave of positive change. After a decade as a leadership teacher and Student Council Advisor at Sumner High School, and then the Program Administrator for the Whole Child and Director of Student Leadership for four years in the Sumner School District in Washington State, John’s influence has spread throughout the city, region, state, and country. John is proud to have brought the Servus Leadership Conference to life many years ago with a small group of passionate students.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." -Margaret Mead
